1 Amazing Thing You Need To Know About Christian Meditation

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God." ~ Romans 12:2

Most people don't realize how true and perfect God's word is. Let me explain. Thoughts are chemical and electrical signatures in the brain. Neurons in your brain connect many thoughts and memories creating organized patterns, or networks, from which we draw our view of reality.

Additionally, researchers have discovered that the brain produces between 12,000 to as much as 70,000 subconscious thoughts per day, mostly without your knowledge. Much of your subconscious thought helps to regulate automatic" bodily functions like your heart rate, body temperature, etc.

But a lot of this background subconscious activity is about who your are and how you perceive the world around you. This undetected thought can affect how you consciously think, feel, and act. Since people are exposed to worldly concepts day and night, most scientists have concluded that nearly 75% of subconscious thought is negative. As opposed to messages that explicitly enhances human potential, worldly messages are centered on fear, doubt, vanity, danger, sickness, envy, gain, greed, pleasure, carnal self improvement, and ego. In other words, most subconscious thought patterns will not develop our extraordinary potential as beings created in God's image.

Amazingly, Apostle Paul, author of the book to the Romans, without a neuro-science degree addressed to this problem nearly 2000 years ago by stating that our mind should not conform to the patterns of this world, but instead we should take action to renew the mind so we may live more perfectly in God's will.

Paul's advice in Romans 12:2 implies that our brain can be molded and shaped according to our will, scientists have a name for this, nueroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is our ability to form and reorganize neurological connections in the brain. This generally happens in response by experience through, listening, reading, and thinking. Prior to the concept's scientific adoption it was widely accepted by the scientific community that the brain was a mass of grey matter that could not be changed at will.

That changed in 1960 when Marian Diamond of the University of California, Berkeley, produced the first scientific anatomical evidence of brain plasticity. Science now concedes to Paul's concept in Romans 12:2 that the mind can be renewed at will  even to the highest potential.

As amazing as this is sounds, the Bible has more to say about the subject and scientists are once again are at odds. This time with Jesus.

In John 14:23, Jesus states that anyone who loves Him will “keep” His word and by doing so God's presence will increase in them. This verse states that if we use our neuroplasticity skill to conform our mind to God, rather than the world, it will draw more of God's presence into us. In other words, spiritual powers are delivered to us through brain changes formed according to God's word.

The delivery of supernatural power implies that a lot of human traits and imperfections would change, after all it's God's power, right.

The Old Testament backs the concept expounded by Jesus with a similar verse in Proverbs 4:22 which states that whoever keeps God's word will experience health in the body. As we've studied in the past, healthy changes in the body happens when genetic activity changes, something we've written about for many years.

So according to the Bible, anyone who changes the conscious and subconscious patterns of the brain according to Godly concepts will change genetically through God's power.

Science far behind on this one and very resistant. But we are not because we have understanding and faith in the Holy Spirit which reveals to us many things. Romans 12:2 is a call to recognize that our mind is being constantly bombarded, manipulated, deceived, and ultimately derailed from an extraordinary life with God.

Which brings us to our final point. Scientists discovered that the best way to change the biochemical patterns of the brain is by reading, listening, and thinking. This process holistically transforms the brain according to an intentional focus.

What would happen if we were to follow the advice of Paul and Jesus? What if we were able to read, listen, and think about God's word as our own? Science has already proven that our brain will be change, but God states that His power will enter our lives if we change our mind with His word. We can safely assume that if our genetic activity changes our health will change, how we think will change, our speech will change, and how we spend our time will change. In other words our entire life will change. The added bonus is that our life would fulfill God's will in real-time. We will become extraordinary human beings guided by love, humility, and wisdom from God our Father.

I'm not here to tell you we have all the answers, but I can tell our programs help. We take the latest findings and scientific discoveries to develop programs compliant to God's word. The secular world doesn't have much to offer, but God does.

This is what our programs do. They present the Word in the first person as affirmations. This method is by far the most digestible to the brain so new thought patterns are more easily and effectively formed.

Additionally, you can read all the affirmations to our programs on our website which will reinforce Godly thought patterns making more effective and powerful.

And that's only the beginning. We pray for everyone. Everyday between 4 AM and 6 AM we pray for every person who downloads, reads our blog, and interacts with our social media accounts.
