1 Proven Christian Meditation Technique To Attract Wealth

Author: Jeffrey Ordonez

In the book of Deuteronomy chapter 8, verse 18 it states that God has blessed us with the power to produce wealth. Many people focus on this verse and move ahead in life and try to acquire and accomplish many things.

One of the most unfortunate sights I've witnessed is a fellow brother or sister who loves God yet appear to accomplish very little. The question always comes, why? Why would someone who loves God live as if they were cursed?

The answer comes to us by reading the chapter in the book of Deuteronomy. The chapter starts with instructions to follow God's commandments, to love Him, and to fear Him. Additionally, we are told that humility toward God is an essential part of recognizing God's power over people and earth.

In verse 11 God issues a warning:

"Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today."

And in verse 19 God describes the consequence of not "remembering" Him, death.

Let me start by saying that there are 613 laws listed in the Old Testament that Jewish person was supposed to follow in those days. Unless you are born Jewish it would be virtually impossible for you to follow all 613 laws. I say this because some of the laws are designed to be followed by people of a certain bloodline and within the geographic territory of Israel.

Additionally, much of the modern Israeli law prohibits people from following laws like stoning people. So the question becomes does Deuteronomy 8 along with it's promise of wealth apply to us?

The answer is yes it does, but not through the Old Testament law. It applies to us through Christ Jesus. Remember, salvation is of Jews, and we are grafted into the tree through Jesus.

In John 14:21 and 14:23 Jesus states that whoever keeps His word and commandments they are promised to have an increased presence of God. With an increased presence of God we can naturally, and logically, assume that life changes. Health, wealth, relationships, everything changes in God's presence. If it didn't we would have to say that God is powerless, and in Matthew 6:33 Jesus states that if we must seek God's realm every will be added to us.

So for Christians living in modern times must seek God's presence by keeping God's word and the commandments of Jesus, which can be universally followed by all people in all geographic locations.

This is worth noting. What happens if a person does not follow Jesus' commandments? Anything that exists outside the commandments of Jesus is sin. Can God bless sin? This explains why there are so many people who love God but progress so little.

Because they don't know the commandments of Jesus they sin. They sin without even knowing it, and God cannot bless sin. God cannot break His word. He blesses the righteous, not the sinner. God can only call someone righteous if the follow and keep His word and commandments.

A person may be saved and still sin. They may receive eternal life with God, but they may not prosper on the earth because God cannot bless sin.

No look again at the stern warning Deuteronomy 8:11.

"Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today."

The way to "remember" God is by keeping His commandments. For the Christian in today's world this means we must keep the commandments of Jesus. This is the catalyst of blessing and in perfect alignment with John 14:21 and 23 which promised God's increased presence.

So instead of focusing on Deuteronomy 8:18, "God gives you the power to obtain wealth" we should be focusing on the surrounding verses that amplify the ability God gave us. Without knowledge of His word and commandments our ability will not be blessed. In a worst case scenario, is a person who does things outside the bounds of Jesus' commandments may actually enter into more hardship, not because God is mean, but because God cannot go against His own word.
