3 Ways To Win The Self-Esteem Battle

Written by: Jeff Ordonez

One of the natural abilities God put in the human mind is the ability to hold concepts and ideas.  The mechanism serves as a powerful device in the reinforcement of thought and the development of action.

Most people are unaware that the brain automatically recalls thoughts previously pondered, and it does so continuously. They come back like boomerangs to help us or haunt us.

People who master life know that disciplining the mind is the first order of business if they want to succeed. They understand that a cultivated and refined mind can produce change, incredible change.

The greatest secret to eradicating thoughts of low worth and empowering your mind in the right direction is faith. Faith is attributed to all types of miracles. From sports, business ventures, and healings, faith is our invisible ability to manifest divine energy for good, and thought follows faith.

What we hold in mind can bend our reality and transform ordinary men and women into nobility, but it can also depress an individual into the lowest state of existence.

The answer to defeating doubt, fear, and insecurities that cause feelings of low self-esteem is faith, prayer, and the thought that God loves you.

Naturally, seeking help from a spiritual advisor, counselor, or therapist is advisable, especially when mental health is an issue.

Continuously meditating on the thought God loves does something beautiful to our mind. It begins to open to the possibility that God is with us and that He provides the necessary power for change.

To augment the inner strength God gives, you must hold in your mind thoughts that support your faith in His power. Studying scripture is the best way to keep God's flow of energy active in your life. Read and highlight all verses related to faith and commit them to memory. Say them to yourself daily and frequently. Let them dominate your thinking, and this will give your mind the opportunity to adopt positive thought patterns that support the reality you hold real in your mind.

Re-educating your mind takes time and lots of practice. If you master the way you think, your brain will become a mighty tool of God's energy, one that controls your body with peaceful and life-giving vitality rather than debilitating wanderings.

Here are three simple ways to win the battle of low self-esteem. Start each morning by resolving to change then proceed with the following steps.

1. Focus your mind on God's life-giving energy of love.

2. Commit key scripture to memory.

3. Continually repeat in prayer memorized scripture.

Do this every day, and you will see a definite gradual change. One of the main difference you will note is that you are more apt to live in the moment. Worrying about the future drifts away when your mind is in the present with God.

As you develop the mindful habit, your awareness muscles will grow. Moment by moment you'll know what thoughts unnerve you most. Your awareness skill is very potent when you use it to correct the course of your thought life.

Another benefit gained from the practice of the techniques mentioned is that we become less judgemental. When we approach life in a non-judgemental way, we more readily accept ourselves and others. The way we take life also becomes easier. Our experiences, failures, and successes are just what they are, neither good or bad. They just are, and we can learn from the entirety.

Having a non attached attitude toward the temporal things of life will no doubt bring you more peace, clarity of mind, and life-energy.

Jesus once said that we should first seek the kingdom of God so we may receive all the essential gifts from God. Expressed in the threefold technique is God's divine guidance to seek Him first which causes a cascading effect in both mind and body.

Thoughts of defeat and despair will fade away. Insecurities will diminish as ideas of power planted in faith grow strong. Your personality will change, and so will your life. You will exude calm, peaceful confidence that will aid you through life. Grace, poise, and thoughtfulness will punctuate your character.

One day you will wake up, look in the mirror and realize that you who you thought you are. You brought God into your life and dedicated yourself to Him. The result was that you changed according to His likeness with the help of His power.

Set aside the mental scripts that entangle the mind and start on a journey empowers you. Your practice will put an end to the sense of captivity that dominates the mind and will set free potential power.

Keep your mind on powerful thoughts, and you will naturally gravitate toward a better image of yourself.  All feelings of doubt and weakness will be forced out while you become a confident and inspiring personality.

In recognition of intercessory prayer, we're supporting with prayer every day. Where two or more gather in His name, there is Jesus also.

Stay focused, and God's living power will support the manifestation of your envisioned faith.

God bless you. See you in the kingdom.
