Christian Meditation and the Way Beyond Anxiety
As Christians we have one power, one light, one love we can rely on - Jesus. The conqueror of the world. As such, if we are to bask in His glory, listen to His word, and walk in His love.
His body, energy, and powerful peace should be the mantle that covers us everyday, every moment. His presence should dispel any and all fear, and should be a confident comfort that keeps heart and mind tempered and whole.
In Matthew 6:33 - 34 Jesus offers these words about worry and anxiety:
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
The things that cause worry and anxiety can be overcome if we keep a practice of focusing on Jesus. The practice of course requires us to study, meditate, and concentrate on God's word until it becomes a spiritual influence within us.
We can naturally assume that if Jesus advises to "seek" God first so everything we need, mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally is added to us, that anxiety and worry will be non-existent.
The path of Christian meditation is the way to peace, love, and God's word. It is the way of letting go the carnal self and giving ourselves to Christ Jesus, the Living Word. On the mindful path of Jesus, our walk of life rests in the Lord and becomes illumined by His holy Spirit.
This complete relinquishing of heart, soul, and mind toward God through study and meditation converts us into a product of the Holy Spirit. Love then becomes God's power through which we can see all things, understand all things, know all things, do all things, forgive all things, love all things, and heal.
It is a transformation that makes us more whole and complete - with God. Everything else is left behind and a new you can emerge. Brilliant with substantial love, hope, and faith your future is a reflection of God's influence over your life. His love is your guiding light, His cultivated word is your thought, and His presence is your energy.
