7 Steps To Overcome Anxiety

There's no doubt that everyone has felt anxious. Everyone knows what anxiety is. An impending deadline, a late bill payment, waiting for a doctor's report, everyone at one time or another is familiar with the tightness of chest, cold sweating, uncontrolled trembling, and restricted breathing. We've all been there, but you don't have to stay there.

There is so much you can do to stay in the right frame of mind that helps you through life. Unlike like any time in history, the amount of knowledge about the mind and body is only surpassed by the number of resources we have at our disposal.

The majority of anxiety is experienced temporarily, meaning that it can manifest throughout the day periodically, or it may last months or years until it subsides. Naturally, treating it under the supervision of licensed professionals is the most prudent step to take, but sometimes a little bit of information can completely change everything.

So let me make myself clear, anxiety is difficult to diagnose and treat. Because every case is different, each situation requires a different approach and a different professional skillset. I don't claim to be a healthcare professional. But I do have a great deal of love and compassion for anyone suffering from anxiety or depression. You have a special place in my heart because I've lived through both.

Fortunately, I had the time and means to discover and test a few simple ideas that made a huge difference, and I want to pass them along. But I want to wholeheartedly express to you that what I propose to you in this article may not work for you. You may have a form of anxiety that requires professional attention, so please seek help from a licensed practitioner.

Here's what I found works well when overcoming anxiety.

1. Take supplements that calm your nerves. Try Ashwagandha.

2. Replenish nutrients in the body. Magnesium, potassium, and vitamin B12 deficiencies are known to magnify anxiety symptoms.

3. Get rid of stimulants like coffee and energy drinks. Cut out news media and movies. Media is designed to create emotional impact, minimize your exposure.

4. Go on a healthy diet. Eliminate sugar and high fat food.

5. Exercise. Steady controlled activity balances brain chemistry while oxygenating the blood.

6 Breath learn to properly breath - learn how to breathe here. Try the breathing exercise here.

7. Meditate. Read God's word then take a few minutes to be still in the knowledge of His word.

Be sure to check with your doctor when battling depression or anxiety.
