To maximize the power behind these words you need to calm your mind and fully absorb the concept of the Word made flesh which came to give us the light and life of God. This is what the Bible calls "Come and eat" or "Come and drink". You must internalize His word as a reality that affects your inner being with God.
Find a comfortable position, take a deep breathe, and relax for just the next few moments.
Close your eyes and relax.
Begin conceiving in your mind how the eternal word of God took form and shape as the Son. See the Son brilliant and radiant in the glory of God. See His power and light. Within His light is life and power.
Feel it radiate on you. Jesus died so you can have the light and life of God. Receive it, feel it.
Remain in the presence of God for 2 to 3 minutes (or longer if your wish).
Take a deep breath and relax.
Now let go in the glory of God. Let go. Let God's glory flow through you and through your life. See God's glory all around you. God's glory changes everything. Let if flow.
Be still. Feel it.
Take another deep breath and begin to gently open your eyes and praise God. Worship Him. Love Him.
Now focus your mind on John 1:4.
Throughout the day practice feeling God's glory flow through you.
Give thanks to God.
Now your ready to start your day.
Be blessed. We're praying for you.
