Activate Your God-Given Supernatural Power

Written by: Jeff Ordonez

One the first things you need to do is believe. You need to believe that you have supernatural powers. Jesus stated that you could move mountains if you have faith, so you have the power.

The power is in you, all you need is a small amount of faith to use it. The best place to start is with your subconscious. If you have deep beliefs like "I can't," or "it's not true," or any other thought that resists full acknowledgment of God's power, it becomes a barrier, one that short-circuits its flow.

If on the other hand, you remove the subconscious blocks you will successfully feel God's power flow and achieve great things.

The following mental exercise is designed to help you remove blocks from your subconscious. This practice requires a quiet, comfortable place.

Step 1

Start by getting into a comfortable seated position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath, relax. Begin visualizing Jesus becoming one with your entire body as you breathe. Remember, faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Jesus dwells in you by your faith. (Ephesians 3:17)

Step 2

Start focusing on the center of your brain, the limbic system the area that operates autonomously to execute your beliefs.

Introduce the thought that through Jesus you have supernatural powers and watch what happens. Do you feel nervous, anxious, unsure, insecure, afraid? If you did, chances are you triggered psychology resisted to the thought, and your nervous system sensed it which was felt by your body.

If you felt entirely comfortable with the thought that you have supernatural power through Jesus, you can skip step three.

Step 3

Take a long deep breath. This time visualize your breath going into the center of your brain. As you exhale, start letting go of any psychology that caused you stressed when you first introduced the thought of supernatural power. You don't have to know what the psychology is, just knowing it's there and that you want it gone is enough.

Again introduce the idea you have supernatural power. What happened? Did you feel anxious or insecure? If you did, repeat the process of inhaling into the center of your brain and keep letting go any self-imposing limitations as you exhale.

If you find it difficult to let go, try the biblical prescription of casting all our cares and anxieties unto God. (Psalm 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7) Mentally see the burdensome beliefs that hamper your ability to honestly believe you have super power vacate your mind into God's brilliant light. Then watch what God does. Keep repeating the process until you feel peace. It may take a few days, but stick with it.

Step 4

When you introduce the thought of having supernatural power, you should feel calm and fully acceptant of the concept. By now, your relationship with Jesus should be evident with a spiritual oneness. The miracles Jesus performed like walking on water, multiplying bread, and healing the sick should be more true to you now than ever.

Now whisper, "I have supernatural power." how does it feel. Is there still a little doubt? Did a couple of nerves flinch? That's okay. There might be a trace of resistance left in the subconscious. Keep practicing these four steps until you feel entirely at peace with the idea that you have supernatural powers.

Before you start leaping tall buildings in a single bound and out-speeding bullets, you need to know that love and humility temper God's supernatural power.

Love for God and others, as well as a humble attitude toward God, increase your power. Once Jesus quoted the Old Testament saying, "The humble shall be exalted." (Matthew 23:12) If you understand that there is nothing more important than to serve God and others, then His supernatural power will be of service to you and others.

Of course, this means you must lose all parts of the ego that does not serve God and others. Jesus once also said, "you must lose yourself to find yourself." (Matthew 10:39)

There must be no trace, not even a hint, of selfishness or intent of personal gain. When we enter the world with the attitude that we want to serve rather than to be served, blessings, honor, and glory will follow. God did not come to the world to be served but rather to serve.

Robert Herjavec, businessman, investor, and Shark Tank television personality was once between jobs. Looking for work, an IBM sales position caught his attention. He applied for the job but was under qualified. During the interview, he convinced the company to hire him by offering to work for free for six months.

To pay for expenses during this "free" period, Herjavec waited tables at a local restaurant. He rose through the ranks at IBM to become a divisional general manager.

Then in 1990, he started his first company, BRAK Systems, which became the leading Canadian integrator of Internet security systems. Herjavec sold BRAK Systems to AT&T in 2000 for $30.2 million.

Robert Herjavec discovered the principles of service and abandonment. He saw an opportunity at IBM and abandoned himself in service to the company and others.

Later, he applied the same principles to his first business venture, and it paid handsomely. Mr. Herjavec hasn't looked back since then. His net worth is now estimated to be over $200 million. He accomplishes the current phenomenal growth by investing in businesses established with the same principles.
Another biblical injunction comes to mind, "The last will be first, and the first will be last." (Matthew 20:16) If you are willing to let go of all ego and serve others with complete abandon and humility, you will succeed.

Now, bounce the idea in your mind that you have supernatural power. If it feels right and you're comfortable with it, you are ready to adopt a new mindset for the future.
