The Ancient Biblical Diet You Can Practice Today
As you would imagine the removal of all processed foods or foods with added hormones, pesticides, some fertilizers, preservatives, and refined sugars is paramount.
This food plan adopts natural, whole, organic eating habits akin to ancient times, as it as first created by God. The foods incorporated in ancient biblical times include organic vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, and some red meat and legumes. But restricts one from unclean, or unacceptable foods like pork.
In the fish category, any fish with scales is acceptable (Leviticus 11:9-10). Fish without fins or scales is not acceptable. So salmon and trout are okay to eat, but smooth fish such as catfish and eels should be excluded.
Crustaceans such as lobsters, clams, and crabs, should not to be eaten. Another main dietary law from the Bible is that on may eat animals with hooves and that chew their cud, such as cows, goats, and sheep. (Leviticus 11:3 and 11:7-8) Additionally, finding a good clean source of meat may require us to look for "organic", "grass fed", or "free range" animals and products.
Organic meat from animals that were raised eating grass instead of a mix of grain is more natural and wholesome.
