How to Get Close to God

Written by: Jeff Ordonez

At Christ Audio we design, engineer, and deliver the most sophisticated Christian development programs. We study and observe God's word in both the Hebrew and Greek languages. Then we comb through hundreds of scientific documents each year. Weaving proven scientific fact supported by ancient scripture is one the hallmarks that makes us servants to people in 52 nations.

Many of the programs designed and engineered in our studio are worth a fortune to anyone who strives for a better tomorrow.

Although the laborious process of engineering sound, music, and tones that perfectly match the mood and tone of scripture and guided instruction cost thousands to produce, we deliver the marvels of the technology for a minuscule fraction of the cost. Sometimes we even give it away as is the case with the 120 Commandments of Jesus.

If you were in our studio and watched just how complicated and intensely laborious the process is, you'd probably say you couldn't afford it. You probably wouldn't even receive it for free with a clear conscious. But we want you to have it.

You see, by laboring with God's commandments and delivering them to you for free we fulfill one of the most important decrees spoken by Jesus.

"But whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:19 NKJV

The blessings of God not only rely on following His commandments, but also by teaching them to others. That's something we're willing to do at our expense.

But like everything that works well in the world, it's reliant on money. Money pays for the facility, utilities, the staff, complicated software, computers, furniture, insurance, hosting fees, bandwidth, and so much more.

If you sat in my chair for one day and watched how serving others at our expense turns into a miraculous money flow you would want to jump right now.

When Jesus said that we are blessed by teaching His commandments to others, He wasn't kidding. I've personally witnessed miracles in my life and the life of others. There is no end to God's grace and mercy for those who labor in His word.

Over the years our business has grown substantially. It seems like God Himself positions us at the right place and at the right time to grow. Currently, we're in a position to give away a high volume of the audio program.

But like everything in nature I've observed the ebb and flow of business. Like the tides of the ocean and the seasons of the year, I've noticed the cycles of a growing business.

It's during the ebb of a business season we slow free distribution. It seems even business is obedient to God's natural laws. Take a look at a ten-year chart of the stock market and you become acutely aware of the up and down cycles of all businesses.

The good news is that growth is virtually unlimited, especially if you serve God.

I want you to take advantage of this opportunity while the 120 Commandments of Jesus audio is available for free. Download it, listen to it, think about them, meditate over them, and enjoy them as your life is perfected by them.

If you try to get a free copy and are not able to I ask you to please wait patiently until we can open the flow again. Just keep trying until our system opens up.

Please accept my absolute sincerest apology if you're not able to download the 120 Commandments of Jesus audio file right away. I and everyone else I know is at God's mercy. God is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Only God controls the tides and seasons.

Now I want to disclose to you the most important point about training with the Commandments of Jesus. It has to do with a mistake I made when I first began my journey the commandments.

For a while, I devoted my self to meticulously following the commandments to the letter. My desire was to make Jesus proud. I thought by fanatically obeying His word I would win God's heart, then my life would shine with God's glory. Boy, was I wrong.

I became stiff and artificial. People must have wondered whether they were talking to a real human being. On top of that, I didn't find real happiness. I became harsh in my thinking, almost judgmental at times. I was miserable. I came to my senses when I remembered what Jesus said about the greatest commandment.

Jesus taught that we should love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. The thought instantly triggered a reflection on how God's grace is not dependent on scrupulous adherence but on love.

A vivid example of how God cherishes love rather than strict obedience is strongly portrayed by the words of Jesus in Matthew 23:25-26.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also."

The Pharisees prided themselves on developing an austere life with the ancient Mosaic law.  So austere was their existence that it led to corruption. The reason why they became corrupt was because their obedience was void of any love for God. Without love, the external observation of the commandments becomes tragically empty which can lead to sin.

Loving God provides us with holy communion. In 1 John 4:8 scripture teaches that if anyone does not love they do not know God, because God is love.

In other words, when we embody love we embody God therefore we experience God when we experience love. Worshiping God this way is what makes God's presence more prominent in us. Only in this way is our obedience genuine.

Being in a state of love helps us realize that God's laws are available to us so we can grow, develop, and prosper in many ways with Him in Spirit.

Loving God is the central command by which we can properly follow all other laws. Failing to commune with God through love empties our spiritual mission of life and power.

So how does Jesus teach us to follow His commandments?

He teaches us to first love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. We are to take time to love God with our entire being. Every thought, every intention, and every desire should be pointed to God with love. An easy task if you relax and just love for  while. You are built to love.

Love is the most important factor in transforming your life with the commandments of Jesus.

In John 14:15-16 Jesus states, “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever."

Can you imagine the Prince of the universe praying for the presence of God to overtake your life? And it starts with your love for God.

Nothing can replace your love for God and your desire to please God with your life cultivated with His commandments.

Really loving God means honoring, revering, and paying close attention to His word. Scripture constantly reminds readers not to be just listeners of the word, but doers. (Matthew 7:24–27; Matthew 21:28–32; James 1:22)

The wise counsel of Jesus teaches us the right way to follow His commandments. Love God until you feel the sensation of love through your whole body then train your mind to follow the commandments of Jesus.

This biblical method assures you don't follow the commandments in mechanical way void of life and power. Instead, you will enjoy inspiration, life, and energy because of your closeness with God through love.

The need for the commandments of Jesus to enter the mainstream consciousness is unusually high today.

Many people have a hard time living a truly fulfilling life where a realized dream brings inexpressible joy. Many people have dreams, goals, and desires but few know how to materialize their spiritual longings.

The lack of God's commandments in one's life explains why. How can a man or woman be blessed if they operate outside God's bounds? That's why it's so important to fill your mind with the commandments of Jesus.

Every person needs spiritual nourishment. Downloading the audio version of the 120 Commandments of Jesus will bring new possibilities to your life, the kind that is dispensed by loving obeying.

It's a fact that what helps one person helps others. So even though you directly benefit from downloading the audio, others indirectly benefit from any good that comes from your actions. We all benefit. We need a happier, healthier, successful society.

All we need is people willing to love God enough to follow His commandments (John 14:15-16). The plan Jesus had to help people prosper by following His commandments is working. It's helping thousands right now.

Every person has a beautiful prize inside to share with this world, but few know how to find it and share it. Our society is based on improving the whole from the individual actions of many.

It's based on the strong helping the weak, the fortunate sharing with the less fortunate, defending those who can't defend themselves, and creating opportunity where there was none. That's why we're giving away the 120 Commandments of Jesus.

You are one of the fortunate ones. You are one of the strong ones. You were guided by God to have this book and to read it. With this book and the audio commandments, you can learn and train to be a more effective member of God's family.
Your life will not be wasted if you if you learn how to think and act with God's commandments. In fact, you will help others.

It's time to share your life with God and others. You will act the part of Jesus in this world. You will make it possible for more of God's goodwill to prevail in this world.
