Meditating on the Commandments of Jesus is Worth Gold

Now, before we go any further, I want to highlight something significant in God's word. The reason why we want to cultivate God's word and his laws with study and meditation is not for physical gain or prosperity alone.

Following God's principles for money or wealth is the same as testing God. Let me assure you with all confidence you cannot test God without consequence. That’s also written in His word.

God calls us to cultivate His word in ourselves and to follow His commandments because we love Him and want to learn and grow with Him. Then as we live more perfectly with God, we can speak His word to others and deliver the message of salvation. Would God want it any other way? Absolutely not! This is how Jesus stated it in Mark 10:29 – 30

So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”

That’s the same as saying that if you and I leave your old life behind, and overcome the familiar ways of the world in your mind with His word and for the sake of His ministry, God's creative powers will overtake you now and in eternity.

So since we are saved and stripped of sin and death by His life and Spirit, we can eat of the tree of life through Jesus so we can help others do the same. Walking with God should never be considered as way of gaining material possessions, but as a way of perfecting our lives more closely with Him so we can help others.

If you want lasting prosperity, with supernatural gains, that continually multiplies by God's invisible forces, you need to accept the life of Jesus as your life call to change.

Then we are to read His word to make God's principles, concepts, and thoughts our own. The world should have little influence on our inner life. Instead, God's cultivated word must drive every thought, word, and action during your day-to-day activities.

Then we can train ourselves to continually live life within the commandments of Jesus so we can be more like Him. If you don’t know His commandments you’re probably sinning, and you don’t even know it, and God cannot bless sin. So you need to get familiar with His commandments right away.

A blessing is a way of saying that God approves of your way of life according to His commands and word. His commandments cause us to live within the bounds of His countenance. They present us the opportunity to participate in His creative will and purpose for the world.

As your understanding of God increases, and as your walk with God becomes perfect more, you will be able to think, speak, and act more like Jesus in His saving power and grace.

There are 120 universal laws that Jesus shared to everyone who listened. The best way for you to make the commandments of Jesus part of your life is to read them and to listen to them.

By continually reading them and listening to them you will be better able to adopt them. Every time you go over them you’ll get more insight on how to apply them to your life.

You can read and study the commandments of Jesus here. We also offer the entire 120 Commandments of Jesus as an audio recital as a free download with any purchase in our store.
