"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." ~ Philippians 4:13
There is nothing more powerful in the universe than faith, nothing. Many studies have shown that prayer, a form of meditation can change the physiology of the body. Although science relates the positive changes to well-designed mechanisms in the body, faith is now looked at with great potential.
Prayer and healing backed by unfettered faith are clinically proven to reduce blood pressure, normalize heart rate, harmonize cardiorespiratory synchronization, alter levels of melatonin and serotonin in the brain, to suppress corticostriatal glutamatergic neurotransmission, boost our immune system, to reduce stress, promote positive moods, reduce anxiety, and help self-esteem issues.
The positive effect of faith is so powerful that simple placebo experiments are observed to mysteriously correct disorders, like depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, tardive dyskinesia, ischemic heart disease, obsessive-compulsive disorder, cardiac failure, Parkinson's disease and even cancer, among a host of other conditions. Mounting evidence indicates that our mind and body are spiritual instruments that wield great power. Now imagine life with a mind that continually focuses on its supernatural source.
If we give up all doubt and fear to mentally live solely in the vast capacities of God, then all possibilities are within reach. Faith and optimism would become the engines that drive all thought and action. Nothing would be impossible.
I'm happy to report that even scientists and doctors realize that the human being is spiritual being first and physical being second. A study published by the University of Rochester Medical Center noted that the spiritual quality of optimism has a remarkable effect on physical health.
The meta-analysis examined overall longevity, heart health, immunity, survival from a disease, cancer treatment outcomes, pain tolerance, and other topics related to health. Those who developed the brightest dispositions with optimism produced the best results, while pessimism yielded the worst.
All scientific documentation leads to Philippians 4:13 which says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." These ten words are the most important in your life. Besides declaring Jesus as your Lord and savior, this short sentence can open the door to God's eternal glory in your heart and mind. I believe that nothing is impossible for the person who believes the few words written in this scripture. (Mark 9:23)
Here are the ten words you concentrate and meditate on every day of your life. They should stimulate a deep faith in God and while opening the door to an infinite number of possibilities in your life.
I Can Do
The first three words affirm in positive terms that you can accomplish what you wish to do.
The next two words assert that all things are possible for you who believe. Notice how these words open the door to unlimited possibilities, and especially when it comes to the service of God.
These two words confirm our unity with Christ.
Who Strengthens Me
The final three words recognize the source of our power which enhances our abilities and attributes beyond the usual standard.
Each morning, and throughout the day, take a few minutes to meditate on the meaning of each statement quietly. As you meditate on these ten words, let go of all anxiety, worry, doubt, and fear. Start living in Jesus. In Jesus, you will find infinite power and possibility.
As you practice this method, you will find that your mind will experience freedom and closeness to Jesus. Your faith in physically unseen realities will increase, while your optimism and energy increase. Nothing is impossible for those who believe. (Mark 9:23)
Your faith is your life, never give it up. God bless you. See you in the kingdom.
