The Christian Meditation Jesus Recommends

God can be heard and seen just about anywhere but to get a deep closer sense of God, we must temporarily shut the doors to the world and commune with God in a focused state.

In Matthew 6:6, Jesus explains it like this, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

In other words, to commune with God who dwells in the secret place within you, you must shut the door to the world and seek God quietly and focus through meditative prayer on only God.

When we practice a state of meditation free from external influences, so God and our worship of Him is the only focus we can begin to enter a deeper relationship with God, one of listening and learning. This deeper spiritual relationship is what stimulates our mind and body with the appropriate loving signals from above to perform at our highest capacity. It brings healing, soundness of mind, and good judgment into our character.

Properly performed Christian meditation helps to guide us with the Holy Spirit and bring the most good into the world because we have closer contact with God when the mind is not a distraction.

So just like Jesus suggests, take time out each day to refresh yourself with God's presence in solitude, apart from the world. Pray while you focus on God as a singular thought and enter into that peaceful state that heals and guides. God bless.
