Here is the most profitable biblical concept, "Give, and it will be given to you." (Luke 6:38)
The insignificant act of loving another person yields an unceasing flow of love from God to you. It produces returns many times over what you give. The relentless stream of love from God to you is how you are able to love your neighbor as yourself.
You must be able to feel love and freely give it away for the flow to start.
When you feel love freely flowing as you interact with all people then you can say that you are obeying the second greatest commandment. And the person who benefits the most is you.
The more you give, the more you receive. Consciously developing the habit of being in a constant state of love is how you become more like God. In 1 John 4:7-21 scripture states that God is love, so as you flow with love you flow with God.
The concept is so important that it's mentioned in the Bible eight times. Loving your neighbor as yourself is so important that it's God's second most important command.
But loving your neighbor as yourself isn’t always easy. Many of us struggle with it. But when we move our perception to God we view life from eternity. From that perspective, everything is a little easier to manage and love.
