Then He goes to say that the negative influence that was expelled can come back to occupy the clean space but with more negative influences making the last condition worse than the first.  Science is proving the concept true today.

From both science and ancient script we learn that our mind is a spiritual space and it needs to be consciously and purposefully cultivated. Once you uproot negative patterns from your mind you have to act in cultivating a set of ideas that support your best future.

Now I'm going to show you the absolute best type of affirmation you can design when cultivating your subconscious. So let's get into the science.

In 2013 the faculty at Carnegie Mellon University provided the first evidence that positive affirmations have an effect on the human body. Documented results show that self-affirmed ideas and thoughts based on one's highest ideals or values protect against the damaging effects of stress.

In another study, this one published by Oxford Academic shows how the brain literally lights up with neurological activity when a person practices the self-affirming process.

What's really interesting is that the effect was not the same when people were asked to affirm statements in the present. Psychologists explain that affirming a statement that opposes a present situation or mindset can have an adverse effect on the mind. Affirming something opposite to a known reality can bring to mind the reasons why the current situation exists diminishing the power of affirmation.

That's why it's so important to work on the subconscious mind first.

Although I agree with psychologists on this one my theory is that if the subconscious has a negative belief pattern about anything it can negate the positive brain activity of the self-affirming process.  I believe that if the subconscious mind is free from negativity it can easily accept affirmations regardless of the current situation or mindset.

True faith, or belief, comes when both conscious and subconscious are united in thought. If your conscious and subconscious believe that I'm holding a lit match under your finger while you're under a state of hypnosis chances are your finger will produce heat blisters, even though I'm holding a feather.  That's a demonstration of belief overcoming a current situation or mindset.  Jesus stated like this, "Anything is possible for him who believes." That's Mark 9:23 and perfectly demonstrated with hypnosis.

So if you remove a negative belief from your subconscious and cultivate new thought with a continuous self-affirming process anything is possible for. That includes living a life completely free of anxiety, that's what I discovered.

Now I'm going to share with you the best way to construct affirmations and how to deliver them to your mind.

First, you need to develop affirmations around your highest ideals or values. So if you believe in God and that God created you with unlimited potential then you can create an affirmation around Genesis 1:27 which states that you are created in the image of God. The affirmation can sound something like this, "I have unlimited power from God."

The important thing I want to mention about constructing affirmations is that any positive statement you create should be affirmed in the first person and in the present tense, "I have unlimited power from God" is a perfect example of an affirmation in the first person and in the present tense.  

Another powerful technique is the use of the second person word, "you" when speaking to your subconscious. I personally feel that a combination of both techniques provides the best results.

Now let's talk about how to deliver the affirmations to your subconscious. First, you need to relax your brain until you produce alpha brainwaves. In this state, you become closer to your subconscious. You can get into the mode with a few breathing and relaxation techniques, and should only take 5 to 10 minutes.

Once you relax you can begin to review your affirmations. During your relaxed state, you should repeat the affirmations through your mind. In my programs, I instruct people to listen to the affirmations and echo them thousands of times. I feel this has a powerful effect on brain activity.

Here's another key, the more relaxed and less distracted you are the greater influence you'll have over your subconscious. So the best way to perform the is by closing your eyes, echoing the affirmations through your brain, and periodically taking a few slow gentle breaths to keep you in alpha.

But remember you have to get rid of the subconscious programming that causes fear and tension. Once it's removed you can begin to organize your mind from the deepest levels up with new thought patterns that influence your mind toward peace.
