Since Dr. Benson's 2013 groundbreaking study revealing genetic changes in blood samples taken from people before and after meditation, we've learned that faith plays a vital role in how we think, feel, and act. This is primarily due to changes in belief which change the chemistry of the body via genetic activity.  

In Hebrews 11:1 the scripture says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In verse three the apostle Paul teaches that this is the method God employed to manifest the universe from the invisible realm.

And in Ephesians 2:8 we are told that by faith we are saved. The original Greek word for saved means, to be kept safe and protected. It also means to heal and preserve.

In a technical biblical sense it means we are delivered from the penalty of sin. In a broader sense it means that faith can preserve us in good health.

Today it's common knowledge that good health means not only good physical condition but also excellent cognitive skills and creativity. So God's word states that faith can change us physically, mentally, and emotionally. And it's the same method God used to create the universe.

Once again science is catching up to God's word and proving correct it's principles.

The faithful journey on the path of salvation starts and ends, by calling on the Lord's name, that's in Romans 10:13. Faith applied by either the verbal or mental call of His name delivers everlasting salvation that affects our body now, as well as our eternal soul.
